Woman Sucker-Punched In The Face Walking Down West Village Street
Police said no words were exchanged before the unprovoked punch.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A woman walking down a West Village street in early January was sucker-punched in the face, according to police.
The unprovoked attack occurred on Jan. 7 at 6:16 p.m. near 6th Avenue and Waverly Place, police said.
Police said no words were exchanged between the two before the man threw a punch into the unsuspecting 28-year-old woman's face.

The attacker ran away, and the woman was taken to a hospital for a small cut on her face.
Police released a photo Wednesday of a man they want to speak to in connection to the sucker-punch.
