2 Airlifted With Serious Burns After Manorville House Fire
The home was fully engulfed by raging flames, firefighters say.
MANORVILLE, NY — Two people were airlifted with serious burns after a raging house fire Wednesday night in Manorville, according to officials.
Firefighters from 6 departments battled the fully engulfed house fire, which broke out on County Road 111 near Chapman Blvd. in Manorville at 7:30 p.m., emergency responders said.
The two occupants of the home were both airlifted by Suffolk County Police aviation to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious burns, officials said.

According to Suffolk County Police, arson section detectives are investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred at the home.
A man and a woman were found outside the house by first responders, police said.

The man suffered burn injuries and is in serious condition, police said.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The house sustained heavy damage, police said.
Multiple fire departments extinguished the blaze; personnel from the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal’s office responded, police said.
