Astrological Tidbit– What is Astrology and why do we “believe “ in it. First Astrology is not a belief system, its not an ideology, it’s the study of our relationship with the Universe and our solar system in particular. The world Astrology means, Astro or Star and Ology or Study. So the world Astrology literally translates to the study of the stars. Astrology has a long rich history and every civilization that has ever existed has had a version or understanding our the patterns and cycles of the stars, planets and heavenly objects. Our modern sciences have their root in Astrology, human’s had a need to invent math so they could calculate the movements of the planets and stars, we also had to invent writing as a way to keep track of all those calculations we were making. At one time you could not be a physician unless you were first an Astrologer, the Astrologer was the wise man/woman who made order and sense of our lives. So next time someone asks you why you “believe “ in Astrology explain its not a belief it’s a way of knowing you are a part of something larger you are a cog in the wheel we call a Universe.
