ALEXANDER WU: RHYTHM ROAD ACROSS AMERICA. Friday May 16 @ 6:30pm. Yamaha Piano Artist Alexander Wu’s dynamic solo concert has been hailed by The Washington Post, which said, "Wu is uncommonly attractive and entertaining….his introduction to each piece was handled beautifully as he managed a comfortable balance of the formal and of the casual, and the large audience that lined up early to fill the hall loved it all." His solo debut CD, Rhythm Road Across the Americas, is an exploration of the music of North and South America through time from early American music to the popular jazz and Latin American classics featuring the music of Harry T. Burleigh, George Gershwin, Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, Astor Piazzolla and Antonio Carlos Jobim among others. Reservations are required. WHA714
