'Destitute' Daughter Needs Help To Bury Her Mother
"This is a tragic time." A broken-hearted daughter is without funds to bury her mother.
WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Westhampton woman is in desperate need of help to bury her mother.
A GoFundMe page, "Dorothy Beveridge Burial" created by Liz Victoria has raised $3,655 of its $5,000 goal so far. "I hate to do this and I hate to ask," she wrote. Her mother, she said, was widowed while pregnant in 1976.
"We are financially destitute and I just want to put my mom with my dad in the West Babylon cemetery," she wrote. "I don’t need anyone to pay for everything but if everyone donated a little I could put my mom to rest."

She added: "This is a tragic time and I am embarrassed and in shock. There is no gravestone there and I have no idea how much one is but one day I hope to put a marker there for my parents. . . I love and appreciate all that all my friends have done. Please don’t judge me for this request."
