Girlfriend of College Student Badly Hurt in Accident Raises Funds for His Recovery
The young woman has set up a GoFundMe account for her love.

A Hampton Bays woman is reaching out to help her boyfriend, who recently was badly hurt in an accident.
Taylor Link said her boyfriend, Eric Brust, 20, of Shirley, who's known for his coaching and athletic career at William Floyd High School, was "involved in a serious accident on November 8. Eric is a coach, friend, and family member to so many people."
Link set up a GoFundMe, "Eric Brust's Recovery Fund," which has raised $8,030 of its $50,000 goal in seven days.

"Eric has been suffering from collapsed lungs and is a trauma patient in the ICU," Link said, of her boyfriend of three years. "Eric will have to withdraw from his semester at Suffolk County community college and his car has been totaled."
She added, "We're requesting donations of any size to pay for any unexpected or unanticipated expenses that Erics family will have to deal with during this tragic time."

Expenses will include parking at the hospital, food, and necessities for Brust, she said. Funds will also be used for a new car, when he is fully recovered, she said.
"Any donation is extremely appreciated and of course we are praying and encouraging you to pray for a speedy recovery to get him home, back on the field coaching, and back to his family and friends."
