HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A familiar face and friend to many in the Hampton Bays and Westhampton Beach area needs help after losing everything in a Sunday morning fire.

According to a GoFundMe page, "Meghan Bozek, We Love You," created by Christopher Furchert, his teammate and good friend lost her home and all of its contents.

"Thankfully Meghan, her mother, and three dogs are all well and safe," he said, adding, "Nothing is salvageable and Meghan and her pups are left displaced."

"She might have served you a drink or walked a dog you adopted. She has touched so many lives. Anyone who knows Meghan knows that she is the most thoughtful person, always the first to be there for a friend or animal in need. Her love and friendship is unconditional and while she would never ask for anything from anyone, she needs our love and support right now," he said. "This GoFundMe won’t bring back her home nor her clothing and keepsakes, but it will help her get back on her feet while waiting for insurance. Every contribution helps, even the smallest amount, and with every donation, please send her some positive vibes and love. We love you, Meg!"
