Police: Greenport Man Arrested on DWI Charge in Speonk

A Greenport man was arrested on a DWI charge in Speonk early Saturday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.

Mario Antonio Osorio-Ochoa, 23, was stopped for a traffic violation when he was found to be in possession of open alcohol and it was determined that he was intoxicated, police said.

His vehicle was also not equipped with a court ordered interlock device and he did not possess a driver’s license, police said.

He was placed under arrest and his vehicle was impounded and is subject to seizure, according to police.

Osorio-Ochoa was charged with felony DWI, circumventing an ignition interlock device, open alcohol, unlicensed operation and other traffic infractions, police said.

He was held overnight for morning arraignment.
