School Vote 2019: Westhampton, Hampton Bays Budgets, BOE
Here's what you need to know before you head out to vote on Tuesday.

WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Residents in Westhampton and Hampton Bays will vote on the proposed budgets for the 2019-2020 school year on Tuesday, May 21.
Westhampton Beach Union Free School District

of $58,018,834, which represents a budget-to-budget increase of 1.59% and carries a tax levy increase of 3.64%, which is below the statutory tax levy limit.
“We are committed to providing our students with first-rate educational and extracurricular opportunities, while being mindful of the burden placed on our
taxpayers,” said Superintendent of Schools Michael Radday. “Over the past five years our budget increases have averaged just 1.2% per year.”

Stacy R. Rubio is running unopposed for one vacant Board of Education seat.
Voting will take place from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. in the Westhampton Beach High School Large Group Instruction Room. For additional information, click here.
Hampton Bays School District
Voters will weigh in on the Hampton Bays School District's proposed 2019 to 2020 budget of 54,33,592, which represents a budget-to-budget increase of 3.21% and carries a tax levy increase of 2.81 percent.
There will be two proposition for voters to weigh in on, including establishing a $5 capital reserve fund for the roof and HVAC system, as well as a proposition for $300,000 for repairs.
Incumbents Kevin Springer and Richard Joslin are running unopposed for two open Board of Education seats.
