Scouting Family Reaches Out To Help A Friend In Need
A loyal friend of Scouting has had a double heart attack, and the Hampton Bays community is coming together to help.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — There are bonds born in Scouting, ties that run deep among Scouts and their adult leaders. And when a fellow Scout is in need, an army of supporters comes together to lend a hand during the darkest of hours.
That's what's happened in Hampton Bays, as Scoutmaster Allen Schneider of Boy Scout Troop 483 has kicked off a GoFundMe page, "The Anderson Family Support," which has raised $2,305 of its $10,000 goal so far.
"The Anderson Family suffered a major setback over the weekend when Todd Anderson Sr. suffered a double heart attack and is now in the CICU at Stony Brook University Medical Center," Schneider wrote. "Todd and his son Eagle Scout Todd Anderson Jr. have been active in the community and Boy Scout Troop 483 of Hampton Bays for a number of years. They are always the first ones to step up and volunteer to help anyone in need. Todd Anderson, Sr. is self employed and the family is really going to need our help to get through this difficult time."
