Thief Stole Inspection Stickers, Cash From Auto Repair Shop: Cops
The thief stole cash and New York State inspection stickers, police say.
RIVERSIDE, NY — The search is on for a thief who burglarized a Riverside auto repair business, Suffolk County police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives said they are asking for the public’s help to find the man who entered Best Price Auto, located at 454 Riverleigh Ave., on Oct. 25 and stole cash, a tire pressure scanner tool and New York State inspection stickers, police said.
The value of the items stolen was $4,120, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
