Watch Sharks Feeding On Bunker Off Westhampton: Video

WESTHAMPTON, NY — Shark sightings closed beaches in the western part of Southampton Town Tuesday, and, while the beaches reopened Wednesday, video captured the striking images of the shark feeding on bunker just yards from the surf line.

The video, captured by the Southampton Town Police Department's unmanned aircraft unit, showed the sharks feeding no more than 200 yards off the shore of Pikes Beach in Westhampton.

The news follows multiple reports of 26 shark sightings in Nassau this summer; Smith Point County Park in Shirley was also closed to swimming on Monday after shark sightings.
