Westhampton Beach 'Odyssey Of The Mind' Team Headed World Finals
These amazing kids continue to make us all proud!
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — The kids are unstoppable: Westhampton Beach Elementary School's "Odyssey of the Mind" team will be heading to the World Finals in Iowa in May.
The fifth-graders earned their spot in the finals after winning first place at the national competition on April 1, the district said.
They took part in the regional competition in March and advanced to the state finals.

The team, led by coach Katherine Haack, earned the top spot by using their creativity, problem-solving abilities and acting skills to form long-term solutions to problems created by competition organizers, the district said.
“I am very proud of our team, our parents and our school,” said Haack.

Talented young team members include Cole Dawson, Maya Farnan, Lily Graves, Fahtima Iqbal, Jaime Kelly, James Monserrate and Lilly Pereyra.
