Westhampton Beach Students Celebrate Flag Day
The students celebrated during a ceremony on June 12.
Westhampton Beach Elementary School students celebrated Flag Day by wearing red, white and blue and waiving paper flags created in class during a ceremony on June 12.
During the event, the school’s band, under the direction of band director Tom Comerford, performed patriotic songs while several students helped raise the American Flag onto the flagpole.
In addition, student council members read facts they researched about the American Flag.
