Woman Charged With DWI After Hitting Utility Pole: Police
She was seen stopped in the roadway on Montauk Highway before jumping the curb and hitting the utility pole, police say.
WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Westhampton woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after she jumped the curb and hit a utility pole early Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place Saturday at 1:34 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Westhampton, when police saw a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Montauk Highway. Police then saw the woman drive away, go up on the sidewalk, and hit a PSEG police, authorities said.
Lidia Figueroa Ramos, 29, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to use designated lane, and aggravated DWI, police said.

She was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
