42nd Annual West Islip Country Fair: What You Need To Know

WEST ISLIP, NY - The 42nd annual West Islip Country Fair will be kicking off this weekend.

The event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the West Islip Public Library on 3 Higbie Lane.

The rain date for the event is Oct. 1.

Guests will get the chance to enjoy this year's music lineup which includes:

• NY's Most Dangerous Big Band - 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
• Six Gun - 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Line Dancing with Sherry Palencia - 2:45 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.
• Joe Bayer Band - 3:50 p.m. to 4:50 p.m.
• Square Dancing With Primo Fiore - 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The fair will also include over 300 craft vendors, a bounce slide, a petting zoo, magician, face painting, sand art for children as well as a wide variety of foods including Italian, Polish, Mexican, ice cream, french fries, sweet potatoes, funnel cakes, hot dogs, hamburgers and more.

Suffolk Police advise residents that heavy traffic is expected in the area during the event. Motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to use alternate routes.
