• LI Driver Fatally Struck Man, Drove Home Twice Before Calling 911: DA (patch.com) — West Islip residents are learning more about a neighbor now indicted on manslaughter and related charges after authorities say he fatally struck a Bay Shore pedestrian on the Robert Moses Causeway while impaired, then twice drove back to his West Islip home before calling 911. Prosecutors detail the June crash, the delayed report, and the steep potential prison sentence as the case heads back to court in October.
