Beach Street Celebrates World Kindness Day

WEST ISLIP, NY - West Islip’s Beach Street Middle School recognizes World Kindness Day each Nov. 13, led by the school’s Helping Hands Club, which promotes positivity and kindness via messages, cafeteria announcements and creative posters hung throughout the school.

This year, the club constructed a huge, beautiful “Ways to Be Kind” banner, filling it with more than 100 ways that students and faculty show kindness that day.

Helping Hands members also wrote “kind notes” to every student in the school, placing them anonymously in school lockers for them to see the day before World Kindness Day.
