Bicyclist Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car In West Islip
The bicyclist crashed into a parked car after being struck by the moving vehicle.
WEST ISLIP, NY - A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a car in West Islip on Saturday afternoon, according to Suffolk Poilce.
A man was driving a 2010 Hyundai northbound on Toomey Road at 12:05 p.m. when his vehicle struck a man on a bicycle traveling westbound from Douglas Avenue into Toomey Road, police said.
The cyclist then crashed into a parked vehicle facing southbound on Toomey Road.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.
