Step 2: Cleaning up Internet Explorer

Getting fake virus alerts and/or general computer malaise? Here are some simple and quick steps to give your Windows based computer a free tune up. Step 2: Cleaning up Internet Explorer

Whether you’re using IE 6, 7, 8, or 9, the settings (for
better or worse) haven’t changed much.  In
the Windows Control Panel open Internet Settings and do the following

1) Under the General Tab/Browsing history – click Delete
then check everything (except passwords if that’s something you’re interested
in).  Under Browsing History/Settings you
should lower the disk space used to nothing more than 50MB.

2) On the Advanced Tab click “restore advanced
settings” and Reset Internet Explorer Settings.
