Venus or Mars?

    I sat to write this after having a ....shall we say ...disagreement....with my husband a couple of weeks ago. I waited to post it having used all my time reading all the interesting posts and articles over the school budget. So I figured it was time to have a more light hearted blog that hopefully cause a chuckle if not an "oh yeah...that is true"...so here is my attempt at a little venting and hopefully a little humor thanks to a book both my husband and I read early on in our marriage when trying to figure out what the hell the other one was saying. I am sure I will have more to say on this subject as other situations arise!!

   As men and women we often think our partners should react to situations in the same way we do- well if they loved us they would ...right? Well here is the problem......we are from totally different planets!!

Women generally think that men don't listen to them, they just need to be "Mr. Fix It" instead. They can also become withdrawn and distant. Not to mention the tendency to become unresponsive at times and also very forgetful. Sometimes also feeling invalidated by their harsh words. 

Men think that women are always trying to change them and the way they do things. They believe we are critical as well as too emotional and sensitive. They think we go on and on about a subject and talk way too much. 

Isn't it obvious, if we are from different planets than we obviously speak different languages. Although the language we speak uses the same words, they often have different meanings depending on who is doing the talking. Not only are they different they are often confusing. 

So whether you speak Venatian or Martian, we both have to cohabitate THIS planet so remember both sexes are motivated by love and are trying to achieve the same goal of solving problems. Thank you John Gray, Ph.D for your insight!!
