Original story:

Long Island Rail Road service is currently suspended into and out of Jamaica Station, in both directions between Jamaica and Penn Station.

The LIRR says the service suspension is due to fire department activity in Jamaica.

NYC Transit is cross-honoring LIRR fares in both directions via the E train at 34th St./Penn Station, Roosevelt Ave., 71st Ave. and Sutphin Boulevard, and in both directions via the 2/3 subway lines at Atlantic Ave. and 34th St.

The LIRR’s Port Washington Branch is not affected by the service suspension.

There has been no word yet on when service is expected to be restored.
