Brentwood Firefighters Participate in Fallen Firefighter Foundation Memorial Stair Climb
The event took place this past weekend.

The Brentwood Fire Department firefighters recently participated in the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Memorial Stair climb.
The department sent about 20 firefighters to Citi Field this past weekend to take part in the event.
The second annual event took place on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 29 at the field in Flushing, Queens.

Participants at the event climbed 2200 steps symbolizing the 220 stories of the Twin Towers.
The funds raised went towards the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the New York City Fire Department counseling unit.

Several teams competed in the event, but the Brentwood contingent was one of the largest teams participating.
The local team was led by Brenden Semigren, who has done a number of stair climbs in the past and rallied the troops to take part.
