Capital One Participates in Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

On Monday, May 12, 2014, fifty Capital One employees, including Long Island Market President Pete Appello, participated in a volunteer event to support StampOut Hunger and sort food donations at Island Harvest in Central Islip as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive.

Island Harvest is the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island, serving as the bridge between those who have surplus food and those who need it. Volunteers collected surplus food from over 600 local restaurants and other food-related businesses and distributed it to local soup kitchens and food pantries.  Every year, the organization recruits volunteers to help support the Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
