Employee Hit By Car In Front Of Suffolk Hospital
The 43-year-old is in critical condition after the accident on Wednesday night.

WEST ISLIP, NY - A Good Samaritan Hospital employee was seriously injured after being hit by a car in front of the West Islip hospital on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Obed Kyei, 43, of Brentwood, was crossing Beach Drive at 11:05 p.m. when he was struck by a 2014 Ford Fiesta traveling northbound on Beach Drive.
Kyei was taken back into the hospital for treatment, where he is in critical but stable condition, police said.

The driver of the car, 22-year-old Brenna Cuccia, also an employee of Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, remained at the scene, police said.
Cuccia, of Riverhead, was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
