This year’s Kentucky Derby is on Sat. May 5th. But you can wager the day before the big race by visiting a nearby Suffolk OTB branch. The Suffolk OTB Sunrise Branch (1375 Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore) is the closest full-service branch to the West Islip. Up for dinner and a drink AND a bet? Stop in at a Suffolk OTB Qwik Bet located in a neighborhood pub or restaurant. The Jon Thomas Inne (91 Howells Rd, Brightwaters/666-2060) and the Twisted Shamrock (11 Railroad Ave, Babylon/661-9527) are your best bets.
