Former WIHS Standout Athlete Named Captain at Towson
Peter Mezzanotte was one of four players to be selected as captains for the Towson University lacrosse team.

Peter Mezzanotte, once a three-sport standout at , was recently selected as one of four captains for the Towson University lacrosse team, according to the school's website.
According to TowsonTigers.com, Mezzanotte, 22, is a three year letter winner and in 46 total games with the Tigers, he's recorded five goals, three assists, 91 ground balls and 71 caused turnovers. Last season, he led the team with 38 caused turnovers.
Mezzanotte is a senior at Towson majoring in History Education and Psychology. He's played defensive midfield on the lacrosse team at the Maryland-based school since he was a freshman.

Head coach Tony Seaman said on TowsonTigers.com that Mezzanotte is the team's "best all-around athlete that everyone on our team looks up to on the field."
Back in his days at West Islip High School, Mezzanotte was an All-Long Island football selection and received All-County honors in track and lacrosse. He helped lead the lacrosse team to a in 2006.
