GoFundMe Created For Family Of West Islip Man Killed In Crash

The goal of the page is to raise a total of $10,00 for the family.

A fundraiser was recently created for the family of a West Islip man who died after a crash earlier this month.

Cassandra Flynn started a GoFundMe page on behalf of John Flynn who passed away on June 20. He was 40.

On June 9, John was involved in a crash and spent 11 days in the hospital before he died on Tuesday.

"Johnny was a loving father of three beautiful Children, a loving Husband, Son and Friend to many," the page reads. "We ask that you find it in your hearts to help support the Flynn Family in any way you can. Any support through this difficult time is greatly appreciated."

So far, the page has raised $535. The goal is to raise a total of $10,000 for the family.

Visitation and a funeral service has been scheduled for John for this week as well.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 23 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes on 255 Higbie Lane in West Islip.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 24 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
