Good Samaritan Hospital Nurse Photographed Teen's Genitals in ER: Police
The incident occurred last week, police say.

WEST ISLIP, NY - A 35-year-old nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is accused of taking photos of a teen's genitals in the hospital's emergency room last week, police said.
Nicholas Petrella, of North Babylon, was arrested on Thursday and charged with second degree unlawful surveillance.
According to police, an employee at Good Samaritan observed Petrella take photographs of the "intimate parts" of a 17-year-old female emergency room patient on May 20.

The teen was receiving care for alcohol intoxication and was unconscious at the time, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
A nursing assistant told police he saw Petrella lift the patient’s hospital gown and take photos, Spota said.

Hospital officials have suspended Petrella from his job as a registered nurse. He has worked at Good Samaritan since 2008.
Petrella was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday. Judge Stephen Ukeiley set cash bail at $7,500 and bond at $15,000.
