Police: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Tree, Passenger Seriously Injured
Accident occurred in Brentwood on Monday night.

A Brentwood man was arrested on a DWI charge after his passenger was seriously injured in a crash in Brentwood on Monday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Jose Trigueros, 25, was driving a 2005 Nissan Sentra when he failed to negotiate a turn at the intersection of Prospect Drive and Eastern Avenue and hit a tree at 9:45 p.m., police said.
The passenger, Elia Treminio-Martinez, 38, of Brentwood, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she is listed in stable condition with a broken femur, police said.

Trigueros was also transported to Southside Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.
He was arrested and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The car was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is ongoing.
