St. John the Baptist DHS Sends Care Packages Overseas!

In honor of Veterans’ Day, students at St. John the Baptist DHS (SJB) in West Islip kicked off a collection of various supplies for our troops overseas. The students demonstrated their pride not only by donating, but wearing all things patriotic. Donations of socks were also received from students at Our Lady of Peace School in Lynbrook. The generosity from the students and community was overwhelming!

On Wednesday, November 29th SJB alumni and friends came together to pack the donations into care packages. With many alumni present ranging from the Class of 1976-2014, we were able to send 100 packages! A big thank you to all who donated and participated with special thanks to The American Legion Post 1738 and The Dennis P. Keenan Foundation.
