SUFFOLK FEDERAL ISLANDIA BRANCH SUPPORTS SMILE TRAIN & WEST ISLIP BREAST CANCER COALITION
In Islandia, Branch Manager Deb Castro presents a $500 contribution each to both Smile Train and the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
In an effort to support the charitable work of local organizations that serve the areas of Suffolk Federal branch locations, the credit union has identified nonprofits to provide financial support to. In Islandia, Branch Manager Deb Castro presents a $500 contribution each to both Smile Train and the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
“I was first made aware of Smile Train through a family member,” said Debra Castro, Branch Manager, Suffolk Federal, Islandia, “and quickly came to understand the valuable service that they provide. The success stories I’ve heard through Smile Train certainly prompted me to give whenever I can.”
Castro also stated, “I have personally lost several family members to Breast Cancer. Unfortunately, families on Long Island know the terrible effects of this disease all too well and the numbers of people living with Breast Cancer are staggering. I strongly believe in the work of the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition. At Suffolk Federal, we’re proud to support their efforts.”
