Suffolk Police Increase Reward For Info on Death of Brentwood Teens to $15,000
The two girls were found dead in the area earlier this month.

The Suffolk County Police Department has announced that they have increased the reward to $15,000 for the first tip that leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the murders of two Brentwood teens.
Nisa Mickens, 15, was found dead on Stahley Street, near Loretta Park Elementary School, with lacerations and head trauma on Sept. 13, a day before her 16th birthday. Her friend, 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas' body was found the same day in a nearby wooded area.
Police believe both girls were attacked, possibly by gang members, as they walked back to Cuevas' home.

The second set of remains, 19-year-old Oscar Acosta, were also found recently in the area.
Their deaths are also believed to be related to gang activity.
"The Suffolk County Police Department is doing everything in its power to bring the perpetrator or perpetrators responsible for these senseless killings to justice," Police Commissioner Tim Sini said.
