Seventh graders in Dawn Morgan and student teacher Krista Virga’s Introduction to Computer Essentials classes at West Islip’s Udall Road Middle School recently created their own “Battleship” boards using Google Sheets. The students learned to use the conditional formatting and format painter functions to create their battlefield, then challenged their classmates – both in school and remotely – by sharing their spreadsheets and battling to sink each other’s ships.
