West Islip High School Class of 2019 valedictorian Madison Esposito, a young scientist currently attending Princeton University, recently had her research published. Esposito is one of the authors of the paper “Characterization of Potential Micrometeorites by Synchrotron Analysis,” discussing the results of her experiments on the chemistry and mineralogy of micrometeorites at the National Synchrotron Light Source II X-ray microscope at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
