WEST ISLIP, NY - Students at West Islip’s Paul J. Bellew Elementary School are never too young to visit the school’s STEM lab, including kindergartners who recently worked on sorting and classifying activities that investigate the natural world.
“In the lab, children have the opportunity to be unique, creative and think outside the box,” said Principal Rhonda Pratt. “The development of STEM-proficient students begins in elementary school, and includes our kindergarten kids. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the students to do much more than just learn.”
