West Islip School Budget Results Are In
West Islip residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.
West Islip residents approved the district's $122,946,823 proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 1578 to 564 .
The budget represents a 1.50 percent spending increase over the current year and a tax levy increase of 3.13 percent.
In the vote for West Islip Board of Education members, Richard Antoniello and Steven Gellar beat out Catherine Artusa for the two open spots

Antoniello received 1298 votes, Artusa received 953 and Gellar received 1402.
