West Islip Residents Approve School Budget
West Islip residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

WEST ISLIP, NY - West Islip residents approved the district's $125,903,812 proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 1,221 to 404.
The budget represents a 2.41 percent spending increase over the current year and a tax levy increase of 2.37 percent.
In the vote for West Islip Board of Education members, incumbent Annmarie LaRosa, Thomas Compietello and Peter McCann all ran unopposed.

LaRosa received 1,039 votes, Compitello received 1,154 votes and McCann received 1,201 votes.
Current trustees Kevin O'Connor and Scott Brady are not running for reelection
