A Level 3 sex offender recently moved into a residence on Kurzon Road, according to a message to parents from West Islip Superintendent Bernandette Burns.
Anthony Correnti, 39, was convicted in 2001 of raping a 13-year-old, according to the state's sex offender website.
Correnti, who graduated from West Islip High School, was sentenced to 16 months to four years in prison, but the state website does not specify how long Correnti served.
