West Islip Student Wins Kids Safe Online Poster Contest

"Mia's poster displayed creativity, originality and a strong message about the importance of cyber security," said teacher Jill Culver.

From the West Islip School District: Mia Brandenstein, an eighth-grader at West Islip’s Beach Street Middle School, submitted the winning poster for the New York State Kids Safe Online poster contest. She received a letter from Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who congratulated Brandenstein and said, "She has distinguished herself as an inspiration to her fellow peers and has proven to be a student with unlimited potential for future success.”
