• Section III teams slide in latest high school flag football state rankings (syracuse.com) — Westmoreland’s girls flag football team has slipped in the latest state rankings, dropping from No. 17 to No. 21 in Class C despite a solid 2-1 record. Section III rival Syracuse East also slid after its first loss, while Fayetteville-Manlius fell out of the rankings entirely, showing how competitive this new sport is across Central New York.
