Willow Ridge Country Club Celebrates Lease Burning

In a move that is unparalleled in today’s uncertain economic climate, Willow Ridge’s members have purchased the property and have transformed the Club into the premier family oriented private club in Westchester County.

Modernizing the Club’s existing facilities, Willow Ridge has invested in a state of the art greens and turf maintenance facility and upgraded its existing infrastructure for $2 million.

The upshot of such investment? World class greens and turf ensuring members the best conditions for their game. In addition to the enhancements to the course, a 300 person al fresco dining terrace and outdoor lounge was added to the main clubhouse overlooking the rolling hills of Willow Ridge, offering spectacular elevated views. Further enhancements include the expansion and updating of the Club’s Tennis Pro Shop, the addition of a family locker room as well as the construction of a full service outdoor family dining at the pool area.

“We are exceptionally proud of the enhancements” said Scott Garvin, Chief Operating Officer at Willow Ridge “we have created a championship golf course offering top notch, quality and caring professional staff.” Working with the design firm Image Design of Atlanta, the clubhouse underwent $1.8 million in renovations and redecorating in April 2012. In addition to the physical enhancements to the Club, Willow Ridge has created a very family friendly environment with relaxed rules in comparison to many Clubs in the region; denim is allowed in the clubhouse, cell phones are permitted and tee times are gender neutral.  

In a symbolic gesture to celebrate the Membership’s new ownership, Willow Ridge hosted  a “Lease Burning” Party on April 13, 2013.
