Hosting the Freedom Conference Championship on May 4th and 5th, the Manhattanville Valiants' softball team won the semi-final game with Eastern on the morning of the 5th, and topped the Eagles, 8-5, as Kim Angiolillo (White Plains-Good Counsel ‘09) had a double and fanned once in the game, while in the P.M. encounter in the championship game, her team was defeated by a 9-1 score.
On the season, the designated player had a batting average of .358, started in 28 of the 31 games, scored 5 runs on 24 hits, had 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 8 r.b.i.s. Kim walked 8 times, struck out 14 times, had 11 putouts, and 3 errors during the season. The team's record was 20-17, with a conference record of 10-4.

White Plains lost to Yorktown 13-5 and Archbishop Stepinac fell to Riverdale Country 13-7 on May 8 according to Mike Dougherty's post on the LoHud Boys Lacrose Blog.
