White Plain Presbyterian Church graveyard
39 No. Broadway, White Plains, NY
Ann Miller is a Patriot of the American Revolution whose home hosted many Generals including George Washington and was used as a hospital and her property an encampment and battle ground. Her home also was the birthplace of Methodism in the area. Please join us for the unveiling of Ann Miller’s headstone. Ann’s headstone was hand carved by master carver Robert Carpenter in the same manner as the 18th century carvers. Her burial location was lost for 100 years until DOLL located it in ancient cemetery records at the County archives. She is resting next to her husband and 2 sons who all died during the war in 1776. Light refreshments.
