Arrest Made In White Plains Train Station Assault

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A White Plains construction worker has been arrested in connection with a recent assault near the White Plains train station. Carlos Paute, 23, was charged with first-degree rape.

Paute complied with police when he was taken into custody and did not resist being taken to police headquarters, lohud.com said.

On Nov. 8, a woman said she was assaulted near the station by a man who grabbed her from behind and tried to drag her into a weeded area.

The woman was able to get away.
