Assemblyman Abinanti Seeks Education Aid Increase in 2014 Executive Budget

"Today I joined my Assembly and Senate colleagues to urge Governor Cuomo to add at least $1.9 billion to education aid when he releases his Executive Budget next week. With increased enrollments, a growing need for special education, a tax cap and state education aid at 2009 levels, our kids are being shortchanged. Whether funded by higher taxes on the 1% or dedicating revenue from casinos, we need to invest in our children who are the future.”
