Bench Dedicated in the Memory of Alissa Marie and Deanna Nicole Hochman

A memorial bench was dedicated Sunday to Alissa Marie and Deanna Nicole Hochman, the two sisters who were tragically slain by their father in February.

The marble bench was placed in front of the Harrison EMS headquarters on Pleasant Ridge Road, reports The Journal News. Alissa Marie, 18, volunteered at the facility.

“Thank you for all your love and support,” the sisters’ mother, Anamarie DiPietro, told the crowd of well-wishers Sunday, as reported by The Journal News. “It means the world to us.”

In addition to the girls’ names, the bench also is engraved with the message, “Deep in our hearts your memory is kept.”

The two girls - Deanna Nicole was 14 - were killed on Feb. 21 by their father, retired White Plains police officer Glen Hochman, 52, who also killed the family’s dogs and took his own life. DiPietro and the couple’s third daughter, Samantha, were not home at the time of the killings.
