Blizzard Warning: Could Storm Bring White Plains to 'Standstill'?

Here are details on when the intense snowfall is expected to start and how long it's predicted to last around White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The National Weather Service added Rockland County and northern Westchester to its Blizzard Warning early Monday morning, saying the storm headed toward the region had significantly shifted its track. Southern Westchester was already under a Blizzard Warning.

"If this scenario turns out to be correct… which is a reasonable possibility… the Hudson Valley will be brought to a complete standstill by noon on Tuesday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Travel will be nearly impossible, with snow falling at 3 to 5 inches per hour. Make sure you follow the developments on Tuesday very close… you do not want to get caught out on the roads in this."

Hudson Valley Weather predicts we could get 16-24 inches of snow, total.
