UPDATE: Person Hit By a Train Near White Plains Station
The accident led to delays of more than an hour on the Harlem Line.
Update, midnight: Harlem Line service continues to experience Southbound delays of 30-35 minutes due to police activity near White Plains, Metro-North says.
Original post: A person was hit by a train near the White Plains train station just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, which is resulting in about a 65 minute delay as of 10:30 p.m., according to Lohud.com and Metro North.
No other details were immediately available except that MTA officials say the person should not have been on the tracks, Lohud.com reports.
