Be Glad then America - The 12 professional voices of the Downtown Music Chorale remember the American Revolution and the Battle of White Plains with a program which celebrates the tremendous variety of music available in the American colonies. Works of William Billings, G.F. Handel and the Moravian composers C.F. Peter and David Moritz Michael will be featured alongside latter-day, Broadway compositions of Rogers and Hart Jerry Herman and Sherman Edwards.
This concert is presented courtesy of the City of White Plains RW 250 Committee in honor of those who served the cause of American independence in the Battle of White Plains; October, 1776.
